Why should I bring my dog to daycare?
Providing a rich stimulating experience for your dog will allow you to work guilt-free knowing you are maintaining the quality of your dog’s life.  Doggy daycare can give your dog a safe combination of exercise, structure, and socialization.

Bored dogs can be destructive but regular daycare will give your dog the energy and socialization he needs to be a better, calmer and happier addition to your home.

Can I bring my pet’s favorite toy, blanket or bedding?
Yes you are welcome to bring additional items such as toys or blankets, but please be aware we cannot be responsible for lost or destroyed items and do not recommend bringing anything sentimental or fragile. We provide dishes and kongs and ask you do not bring your own. We do a lot of cleaning and they can get mixed up in our supplies. We always want to return what you bring. We do ask that you do not bring any rawhides as they are a choking hazard.
Can my dogs stay together?

Yes, same family pets may stay together. However, unaltered pets of opposite genders, over the age of 6 months, must be boarded in separate suites. There is a discounted rate for the second and subsequent pet(s) using the same suite

What are drop off and pick up times for boarding?
Drop off 4p-6p, pick up 8a-10am. For late pick up a fee of $20 will be assessed when picked up by 6pm.
How are dogs separated for daycare?
Our location features multiple distinct play areas that allow us to separate dogs based not just on size but also on play style and energy level. This ensures safe, appropriate play for all our guests.
How are temperament evaluations conducted?

Evaluations for group play must be scheduled in advanced, please contact us to find out dates and times available. The evaluation is a 2 hour evaluation by an experienced member of our team. The staff follow the following steps with each dog:

Alone Time: Your dog is given time to sniff and relax in a quiet area without you or other dogs present to gauge their baseline confidence.

Staff Interaction: An evaluator will enter the space to pet your dog, offer treats, and lead them by the collar.

Pack Introduction: If your dog passes the initial handling, they will be slowly introduced to one calm, pre-approved “greeter” dog, eventually building up to small playgroups if they are comfortable.

Your dog must have basic training such as recall (coming to you when called), be socially tolerant of other dogs and be able to self-soothe.

If your pet passes the evaluation you can choose to leave your dog for the remainder of the day in group play and pay the daily daycare rate. If your dog is determined not to be a good fit for group play, the staff will provide you with an evaluation form for you to discuss at pick up.

My pet has special needs. Can The Greene Paw administer medications?

Yes, The Greene Paw employees are thoroughly trained to administer medications. However, unfortunately, we do not accept insulin dependent pets or pets in need of injectable medications. If you have a senior pet, please inform an associate and we will gladly accommodate their needs. Note that medication can only be given during hours we are open. If your pet has extensive medication needs that require extensive labor hours you may be charged the $10 special needs fee each day. Talk to a member of the team to determine your pet’ individual needs.

Does The Greene Paw accept pets who are not spayed or neutered?

Yes, The Greene Paw accepts unaltered or intact pets. All pets that are unaltered and over 6 months of age will not be allowed in play groups but for boarding purposes are allowed. However, The Greene Paw does not accept any pets in heat; we apologize for any inconvenience.

What is the non-compatible policy?

In many cases, a dog is deemed non-compatible when it can’t be in a shared space with other dogs due to being intact (not spayed or neutered) or because of behavioral concerns including dog-aggression, excessive dominance (mounting), or if a dog is fearful around other dogs. It could also be due to mobility or agility issues, especially in senior dogs who may need physical help or special care. An overly playful pack may not be best for them and one-on-one care may be necessary.

These behaviors and needs are determined as part of a temperament assessment our guests receive when first coming to The Greene Paw. This assessment lets our team members know what type of play and socialization are best for each guest and ensures the safety of everyone.

Pet parents who are first-timers with The Greene Paw Pet Resort are encouraged to bring their pup to tour our resort and meet out fam! This is a chance for your pet to experience our facility and for us to get to know them, too! As we get to know your pup, we’ll be able to tell you if they would be ready to play with others or would be non-compatible and require individual care.

If my dog is considered non-compatible, can anything be done to change this?

As dogs age, behavior can sometimes change. Training is also beneficial to curb undesirable actions and help them feel more comfortable around other dogs. If you’ve seen a change in your dog’s behavior or have worked with a trainer to improve their social skills, you’re welcome to speak with one of our team members to inquire about having your pet’s temperament reassessed.

For the health and safety of our furry guests, dogs that are not spayed or neutered will remain non-compatible unless they get fixed. We appreciate your understanding.

Does the Greene Paw offer webcam services?
Yes The Greene Paw offers webcams. The cameras are included as part of our VIP package or access can be purchased for $10/day.
How do I know I have found a good place for my dog?
A high-quality dog daycare is basically a five-star resort where the guests lick each other’s faces and lose their minds over tennis balls. The best ones have trained staff who know the difference between “playful zoomies” and “I just stole Gary’s emotional support squirrel.” They keep dogs safe, clean, socialized, and happily exhausted by the end of the day — which, let’s be honest, is the real dream for dog owners. A great daycare also has plenty of supervised playtime, comfy rest areas, and staff members who somehow remember every dog’s personality, from the tiny Chihuahua CEO to the Golden Retriever who thinks every human is his long-lost cousin. If your dog comes home tired, happy, and smelling only slightly questionable, you’ve probably found a good one.
How do I prepare for boarding my pet?
Please proportion your pet’s food. Due to storage limitations, please do not bring large bags of food or storage containers. We recommend you bring the food your pet typically eats so we don’t change their diet.
For cat boarding, we provide litter boxes and litter which is freshened up 2 times per day.

Our Goal is Simple

To create a clean, caring, and enriching environment where pets feel relaxed, happy, and loved — and where owners feel confident leaving them in trusted hands.
